A Complete Listing of Capabilities

Catalog.

Every function the field instrument performs — numbered, named, and described without flourish.

Detection

What it listens for.

Acoustic conditions Revly is currently trained to identify, in the order they tend to appear.

01.
Predictive failure detection.

Bearing wear, valvetrain noise, exhaust leaks, belt slip, fuel injector knock, and seventeen related conditions. The model identifies pending issues weeks before they become catastrophic.

02.
Per-cylinder anomaly tracing.

On supported engine families, the model traces irregular acoustic patterns to a specific cylinder — long before a misfire code is thrown by the engine computer.

03.
Cold versus warm comparison.

Some conditions only present at startup, others only at operating temperature. Revly captures and compares both states in a single scan.

04.
Acoustic baseline tracking.

Your engine's healthy fingerprint, recorded on first scan and refined over subsequent ones. Future readings are evaluated against your specific baseline, not a generic curve.

Reporting

What it tells you.

The reports are designed to be useful in a service-department conversation, not impressive in a screenshot.

05.
Calibrated confidence scores.

Every finding ships with a confidence value. High scores mean the acoustic evidence is strong; low scores mean the model is uncertain. The model is permitted to say "I don't know."

06.
Urgency triage.

Findings are graded on a four-step scale: drive normally, drive directly home, drive only to a shop, do not drive. No ambiguity, no marketing language.

07.
Repair cost ranges.

Each finding includes a typical parts-and-labor range for your make, model, and region. The intent is to walk into a shop with a number in mind, not to replace the estimate.

08.
Mechanic-ready exports.

Every report can be exported as a single-page PDF with the findings, severity, acoustic evidence, and your scan history. Hand it to your service writer in lieu of guessing.

Use

What it fits.

A short list of the use cases the instrument was actually designed for.

09.
Pre-purchase inspection.

A Revly scan in the seller's driveway, before signing, catches what test drives miss. This is, by a wide margin, the most popular use of the beta.

10.
Pre-trip checkup.

A two-minute scan before a long highway drive surfaces the issues most likely to strand you. Worth the time, every time.

11.
Periodic health check.

Monthly scans build a longitudinal record. Subtle drift gets caught before it becomes audible. The repair you would have made anyway, made sooner and cheaper.

12.
Fleet maintenance forecasting.

For commercial operators — scheduled scans across a fleet, with prioritization based on detected severity and time-to-failure estimates. Available in the Fleet tier.
